March 14 - Day of Greetings!
The celebration (also known as Amal) is an ancient tradition among Kazakhs in the western region of Kazakhstan and in the border regions of Russia.
Residents of the region meet the New Year on the calendar Baybakty Kazybek March 14, also called "Day of Resurrection." On this day, the villagers come early and greet the elderly. Neighbors want to say to each other: “Let's have a happy New Year!”, “Join your youth for a long time!” On the eve of the former regret is ignored, and the hostility is forgotten, the neighbors call each other for dinner and wish them good health, happiness and well-being to their families.
